At Swedish Actors, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for our clients and collaborators.

We take our responsibility seriously to protect the actors, performers, and comedians we represent, and we have clear policies and procedures that support this commitment.

Our policies and procedures

We actively work to:

  • Handle reports of sexual harassment with full confidentiality and care.
  • Ensure diversity, equality, and inclusion across all parts of our work.
  • Provide transparent guidance regarding auditions, contracts, and professional conduct.
  • Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and discrimination.

All collaborators are expected to be familiar with the guidelines set by Swedish and European industry organisations to ensure best practice within the performing arts sector.

How to report harassment or misconduct

If you have experienced or witnessed harassment, discrimination or other misconduct in connection with our work, contact Fredrik Sjöberg directly: call +46 709 91 99 69 or write to fredrik@swedishactors.se. You decide how much you want to tell us. We handle every report in confidence: only the people who need to act on it see it, and we keep you informed about what happens. How we keep and delete reports is described in our privacy policy.

Relevant resources and guidelines

To strengthen this work, we follow established industry standards and encourage our clients to explore the following resources:

  • Swedish Union for Performing Arts and Film (Scen & Film): guidelines for working with intimate scenes on stage, agreed with Svensk Scenkonst (read in Swedish), and guidelines for intimate scenes in film and drama productions, agreed with Film&TV-Producenterna and SF Studios (read in English).
  • Swedish Gender Equality Agency: information and support regarding sexual harassment, including legislation and statistics (read in Swedish).
  • European Union: the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030, which includes freedom from gender-based violence and harassment (read more).
